What happens to your details
Short version: I collect what a booking needs, the booking lives in Session, the payment lives in Stripe, and nobody gets your data for advertising. The longer version is below.
What I collect, and why
When you book a session you give me your name, your email address, your phone number, the date and time you picked, the package, and anything you write in the booking. I use it to run the session: to send the confirmation, the contract and the meeting point, to remind you before the day, and to deliver the gallery afterwards. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.
Booking runs on Session
The calendar, the contract and the booking form on this site are provided by Session (usesession.com). When you book, your details are stored there so the booking can exist. Session has its own privacy policy, which applies to what happens inside the calendar.
Payments run on Stripe
The retainer and the balance are paid through Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never pass through this website or through me: I see that a payment happened and its amount, not the card. Stripe has its own privacy policy.
My calendar
A confirmed booking is written into my Google Calendar with your name and the time of the session, so that the same slot cannot be sold twice. That entry is visible only to me.
Cookies and tracking
I want to know which pages help families book and where they give up, so this site uses a few measuring tools. Google Analytics shows which pages get visited and whether a visit ends in a booking. The Meta Pixel tells Facebook and Instagram which of my ads brought someone here and whether they opened the booking calendar. Microsoft Clarity may record anonymous clicks and scrolls so I can see where the page is confusing. PostHog counts visits and the steps people take towards booking, so I can see where a booking gets stuck. When you arrive from one of my Google ads, Google Ads sets a cookie so it can tell me whether that visit ended in a message or a booking. None of these tools receives what you type into a form. You can turn off ad personalization in your Google, Facebook and Instagram settings. The embedded booking calendar and the payment form are loaded from Session and Stripe, and they may set cookies needed for the booking to work. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs for security.
Contact forms
The "write to me" forms on this site (asking about a location, a date, or a session that does not fit a package) send your name, email and message through Resend, an email delivery service, straight to my inbox. Nothing is stored on this site itself: it is a one-way email, not a database.
Your photos
The agreement you sign when you book covers how photos from your session may appear in my portfolio, on this site and on my Instagram. Your own copies are yours for anything personal.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Bookings and payments that already happened stay in Session and Stripe for as long as the law requires for accounting, and no longer.
